My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Specialized Translation and Terminology Studies and a Bachelor’s in French and English Language and Literature from the University of Bucharest. I’ve worked across a wide range of industries —from legal, medical, and finance to IT, marketing, and literary translation— both as a freelancer and in multilingual corporate environments.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Specialized Translation & Terminology and a Bachelor’s in French and English Philology from the University of Bucharest. I’m a certified translator (EN/FR → RO) authorized by Romania’s Ministry of Culture. I also invest in ongoing learning —recently completing a subtitling course on adapting dialogue for dubbing through the University of Sheffield & ZOO Digital, and a post-editing course from RWS Group. My training includes intermediate Italian, helping broaden my linguistic perspective.

Industry experience

Before becoming a full-time language professional, I worked in corporate payroll, IT consulting, and market research. These roles at companies like Cegedim, ADP, and Ipsos gave me domain-specific insight that I now apply when translating legal, financial, and HR materials. I’ve also collaborated with publishing houses such as Curtea Veche and Litera as a literary translator, and I volunteer as a TED Translator —contributing to the global accessibility of ideas worth spreading.
